At the Loose Moose preschool and Young Family Center we believe that play is the key to learning. We believe that all children are competent, curious and creative. We believe that learning takes place best when surrounded by supportive and nurturing relationships. Our small group size allows each child to develop meaningful and deep relationships with friends and teachers.
As experienced teachers, we understand the valuable role we play in facilitating children’s learning both in the playgroup and beyond. For this reason, we also invite families to enjoy time exploring, playing and relaxing together, outside the playgroup time. We believe that children’s questions and interests are a foundation for learning. We strive to facilitate their exploration of the world around them through carefully selected materials and experiences. Our diverse range of toys and materials allow children to explore all aspects of the world around them.
We believe that children can express themselves through many languages. Our bilingual language rich environment facilitates their developing ability to express themselves independently and with confidence in their languages. We believe in sharing their learning journey with you. Together we can support and empower each child to follow their curiosities, questions, imaginations and hearts into a world without boundaries!

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, Loose Moose preschool partners with children, families, and the community to provide an exploration based education for young learners. Teachers, parents and children develop their learning experiences through observation, intentional planning, creative environments, and active exploration of materials. Our goal is for each child to love learning, exploring, and playing in our bilingual environment.
Our playgroup is limited to 15 children per session. Children must be enrolled on a semester basis. See attached calendar for playgroup schedule.
