About our Preschool….
Little Learners
When children are playing, children are learning! At Luus Muus Bilingual Preschool, We believe that children should be in charge of their play and learning because when children get to make choices, try out different methods, and lead their own experiments, it makes all the difference to their learning.
We accommodate up to 12 children per day, aged between 2-4 years.
Location
Luus Muus Bilingual Preschool / Spielgruppe is nestled in a spacious room adjacent to the Luus Muus Cafe.The preschool features a dedicated front yard, allowing children to engage in water and sand activities while exploring outdoors.
Our indoor play activities and learning experiences are thoughtfully designed to cater to the diverse age and developmental needs of the children, as we firmly believe that children thrive when their environment aligns with their interests and developmental stages.
Philosophy
Learning through play provides opportunities for children to develop a sense of the world around them through inquiry, exploration, interaction and problem solving. Teachers take advantage of the natural curiosity of children and encourage them to use all their senses, communicate their thoughts and emotions, explore their environment, and connect what they already know with new knowledge, skills and attitudes.
Curriculum
Language Development
We emphasize language acquisition with a bilingual approach, using both German and English throughout the day. Our teachers adapt to each child's individual level of language development, facilitating growth through songs, repetition of poems, finger play, circle activities, and interactive reading sessions.
Early Mathematical Skills
We explore mathematical concepts, including data gathering and analysis, numbers, patterning, measurement, shapes, and colors through transdisciplinary units of inquiry and play.
